how to drift with a proton?

yes, do not try silly stuff on the roads!
i totally support!
and whatever we are talking about here is shit dangerous stuff..
so pay expra caution before trying anything

governtment should come up with another "tak nak" campaign.
"Say tak nak to illegal road racing"
:P

agree....for begineer ,when they knew the theoritical method they eager to try on the road just like wat satanic said.end up bang here and there, dangerous. me last time also like that, my advices is, on the road dun play lah, wanna play then go proper place but nowadays not much place, all fark up.

jiggly>>>ur skill not bad leh

cannot affort la...how??? hehehe
my problem is cannot afford... my dad wont let!
sighz... wanted to get a bluebird 910 to drift... red light from dad.
if u really love drifting, whatever proton u hav sell off and buy an FR. not necessarily u must go for a 180SX etc... even a KE70 will do.
its just the matter how u prioritise what kind of car u drive. whether u value ur image of driving a newer car or a so called old junk that can do wonders. tell me how many ppl are willing to sell off their RM15K saga or honda prelude and buy a KE70?

if anyone wana buy my saga for rm 15k, i terus jual!
anyone?
confirm can drift wan.proven before!ask metalzone!

BDE XXXX.

inside condition damn nice!jus ned a new coat of paint.
less thn 1K paint job la since its solid colour.
price nego! i understnad the repainting part is a turn dwn, so im wiling to knock dwn 1K if anyone serious bout buying.

it is possible to drift with a FF without using the handbrake.
unfortunately, you will need high speed and very little traction on your rear tyres.
wet surfaces are the best!
to execute it, you will have to do a small feint to throw your tail to the side.
this method is way harder to master than the e-brake in the sense that the slide is harder to control and also the speed you will need to do it.

you can use left foot braking in this method too.
for left foot braking, make sure you got really good brakes that can lock the tyres when you excert more pressure on it.
charge into a corner at a suitable speed( depending on what your balls are made of) and turn, jam the brake and your car will start sliding...counter and jaga !

i seriously think that u all shud lay off all this dangerous manuevers laa....pls practice enuff common sense....there's a different between theory and reality...problem is...u could die trying to perform wat looks safe and magnificient in theory....wahlauwehhh....driving high speed with a nearly no traction tyres trying to do a small feint.....now thats just plain idiotic dun u think...wat do u gain at the end of the day...i doubt a chun chick will cum all over after watching u all do this stunt...mebe a policeman or a mortician would be more interested than her....seriously...have any of u pay attention on how it gets more and more dangerous of a technique that surface everyday?1st day pull handbrake laa...2nd day pull handbrake and whack the steering wheel laa...come 3rd day hah got left foot braking ala mamak style laa...wats next?no rear tyres ar?just drive on metal rims....jezz...now thats some scary shit thinking that im sharing the same road with gungho FFDrifto William Hungo on rainy days....
u sound like a grandfather...

wei wei .... i saw b4 toyota LE driff using handbreaks........dam chun man... but that guy say is better to in rain time....he pratice more that 3 yr to get it fo preffectly.....

i guess u might be one of them...but ur dad sure ain't one..... <_<

depends which proton u drifting....example-ff drifting with a Waja and a Wira...there will be differences because of the brakes...waja have 4 disc brakes while wira have brakes on the front wheels only...although FF car drifters use handbrakes more than using brakes....it's a matter of safety issue...so far in johor i have onli seen putra, satria and waja drift....but i believe there are Wiras cos i seen peroduas doin it....hehe...maybe i neva seen wira drift b4 in JB becos i outdated la... :D wakakakakaka

i agree with satanic

First of all, use your common sense. A 10 seconds excitement might be a close call to heaven.

Second,Proper knowledge is A MUST before performing any manouvere in the road. And not just gaining it from video or cartoons or the Net.

Third, proper machine.Yes, KE70 is a FR machine but make sure the car is in top notch before doing any manouvere. Why? The car is already more than 20 years old la.Think rational.Im not syaing the car aint good but , heck im also drving a 20 years old car but come to think about it, use your common sense.

Memandu lah dengan bertanggungjawab.Value live.

You might think im stupid or think im coward but after going through 4 nearly fatal accidents, i know what is the feeling to have a close call to heaven. The road is too dangerous for me.

if u have the money to buy an extra ke70 just for drifting ......thats ok .......... but selling ur daily use car to work for a 20 year old junk .... just for the fun of drifting and also for daily use .............not rasional la

perhaps, the most appropriate words should be
"You want to drift in the public road, well, good luck" ;)

well i slide around in my satria @ open carparks with no cars around and frankly speaking... its not driftting.... its just sliding.... can do 3 nonestop left right left slides and ending with a 180 spin.... all use handbrake to induce the slides with feinting at the first turn.....

my technique is first get up to speed maybe 60-80 @ 3rd gear... then press the clutch shift to second gear and feint the car(do not let go of the clutch)... after the feint pull the hand brake will still pressing the clutch(easier for ff to slide @ low speed) while the car is sliding... play with your clutch to get power back on the road( accelerator is press accordingly) because of the slow speed you'll need to use the handbrake to induce a second slide in the other direction(press the clutch again for easier slide) can continue till your car basicly don't have enough speed to keep sliding....

*PLZ DO THIS IN A SAFE ENVIORMENT WHERE YOU WILL NOT PUT OTHER PPL IN DANGER AND YOURSELF TOO.....OPEN CARPARKS WITH NO CARS CAN BE USED.... AND PLZ DON'T GET YOURSELF INTO TROUBLE......

*CHECK YOUR CAR BEFORE YOU DO ANY CRAZY STUNTS....AND MAKE SURE YOUR CAR IS CAPABLE OF TAKING THE PRESURE AS YOU DON'T WANT YOUR VEHICLE TO BREAK DOWN ON YOU......

btw ... my car is using titan suspension with 15" rims + advan neova tyres......

oh and for your first time.... go slow.... just learn how much speed your cars need to slide before attempting anything.... different cars different ways....

well, mine different, i never play with clutch, instead i used the handbrake and throttle the body only, that's wat a few friends of mine taught me.....THANKS A LOT SIFUS, u know who u guys are.

lol

front botak already....

need to buy new ones....
