hahaboy, my 1st MS project was on a full-on weekend car with no aircon. the latest project which 1st fired up yesterday, aircon system is FULLY intergrated to the ecu. that means all the hardware to control aircon (dont ask me what cos i dunno) functions. so it runs just as smooth as a stock ecu. (well, a lot smoother actually)... cold start, hot start, all tuned already and works marvellously. now for WOT tuning... not tonite cos lots of traffic. maybe tomoro nite :D MS2? i think MS1 is already good enough for me. really satisfied. i have used apexi power fc, haltech e6k in my previous cars before and i must say, i prefer MS. that's the truth. not bragging or anything...
 
use MS as daily use, how about the aircond system ?
khoyos, how about MS2, planning to buy a MS considering MS1 or MS2 since MS2 got extra now.

and my question,

how does Microtech,Haltech,Motec control the aircond system from your understanding?:hmmmm:
u can opt for an external FICD to clear your mind off or if you do care so much about those OEM thingy,piggyback would be just fine.

bro georgett, MS1/2 can either be piggyback or standalone, depending on how u program it to be. most of us here run it as standalone, and discard the stock ecu...

hehehe actually, its the tuner that determines the "niceness" of the ecu.
my power fc was tuned by a japanese fellow.
my haltech was tuned by a famous malay haltech tuner.
and my MS was & is currently being tuned by Mr. Zainal.
so, it proves that even with a "cheapo" ecu, but with great tuning skills, any ecu can work wonders...

4G63 series piece of cake. cipan has megasquirted at least 10 4g63 turbos (vr4/evo). do PM him for pricing... about V6TT, i dont think cipan has done before. but i'm sure he's able to do it...
 
khoyos, i'm having trouble with the laptop adapter supplied (rs232 - old laptop got, newer no have).
what did you use? USB to RS232 adapter? does it crash often?

was looking to bluetooth/wireless the stuff (Ms), cuz it kinda looks like it's possible, but dunno la..
 
yeah i use USB to serial converter. i bought the cheap ones, initially it needs some time to figure out which COM port the converter is plugged in...
works perfectly though...

does the list comprehensive for and NA?

meg_omen, if you need item 2 and 3, I have extra unit. But it is with pigtail. It is new, unused. Thank you.
 
how many vb921 ignition driver depends on how many coil packs you have on ur wasted spark system. usually its 2 coil packs, so u need to purchase an additional vb921 driver.

please correct me if im wrong sifu's.
 
want to know, what's the main disadvantage when not having a potentiometer TPS ? cos i'm using daihatsu mira 3 cylinder enjin, distributor ignition system and switch-type TPS.
already browse MS forum but still a bit confuse about the "flood" term

can i still control my fuel and ignition map using the distributor and switch type TPS with MS?
 
Sorry to budge in, I'm a noob when it comes to electronics.

Anyways, I'm interested in Megasquirting my B8T 180, but I'm clueless on what to buy and how to tune it.

Anybody out there done the B8T 180 before, would really appreciate the help.
