well, speaking of block, my story isn't exactly a block but cops related.
One night sometime last week, i was driving back from KL. I got stopped by patrol car becuz of black tint and exhaust. So, i ask whether can give me chance, since i already got a letter from jpj to go inspection in a few days (showed him the letter). He said, jpj and cops diff. so okay lo, ask for saman lo. Then he say, my car must be compounded =\
So he asked me to sit behind and he boosted with my air con on all the way to the traffic police station, i was flying back and forth in the backseat. As we passed pudu area, he was saying that i go home take cab from there. I say okay lo. The whole time, the cop was bullying me with words due to my poor command in malay language.
When we finally reached the station, he kept quiet for about 30 seconds, i had a feeling that he'd want me to give in and settle it with quick money. I didn't dare to bring it up because i wouldn't want to get charged for that, or maybe he'd ask for higher by threatening me with quick settlements. So i took my books and player along with me since i thought they'd compound my car. The cop then told me to go inside the office.
5 officers bullying me with words, shouting at me about my tint and exhaust. Asking why i bring my books together with me la, showing student is it?, that kinda thing. I guess this shows the plan was never to compound my car. It's plain common sense i have them with me becuz i thought my car would be compounded. I said the car came with the tint and exhaust, they said no way till i told them i bought it second hand. And one of the officers asked me, "Why did you rev in front of the officer?". I guess from that question, i could tell what kinda situation is going on. I wouldn't be stupid to do that so i replied with a safe answer, "maybe becuz the exhaust is plain loud, not on purpose". They asked questions like, who's the car registered to, and dad work as what. Say la mesti kaya and stuff, i guess i know where things were heading. I bet it was money.
But anyways, with the 20cent face i gave them, they let me go with a condition: taking off my tints myself. Thank god, it had not left any sticky residue and was easy to take out.
That was one of my unlucky encounters this month. Funny how i see alot of patrol cars around this time of month, and i really get a fed up feeling everytime i see one around now.
Haihz, having a cop boosting your car with the air con on and wasting an hour with them getting bullied by multiple officers. Isn't pleasant at all. For what? Seeking for fun and quick settlements rather than to issue a summon.
