haha, yes well 450 tallies with about the power of a nissan gt-r or a c63 amg, dont u think?
id suggest RB25 too.....if budget constrain RB20 should be sufficient...:)

i agree kevin, quite hard to get sponsors..... if there are members here that owns a workshop ok la......unless we forumers donate should at least help to fund your project...
RB25DE 6 throttles 12.5 high compression with super high cam!! shouldnt be a problem for 300hp :D
or rojak with RB30 block to be the most powerful NA RB in Malaysia!
btw Klevin, do you mind to give me the details of Playhouse Garage? need to pay a visit for them :)
may i suggest that you start a blog for this project, where you can list down the sponsors & they will get the publicity if your sponsors are workshops & etc.. or you already have a blog for this project?

well the current engine would incur about rm800 worth of rrepair, thats 1/3 of the cost of a rb25det half cut, so better off get a new half cut? considering if theres a confirmation, the candidate sponsor will help transplant for free.
maybe i should create a pool for u guys to chip in some money to get this going. just a suggestion. let's make this the best thing ever happened to malaysia. speedhunters worthy article!

I wouldn't spend money on a half-cut - you won't know what you're going to get. Whenever possible, whichever option, break it down and overhaul it. Port and polish everything inside out, inspect everything inside-out and re-assemble it with care. THEN you will know with confidence that it's going to work.
A little change here and there goes a long way. But do decide what you want to do first. I'm still not clear about the end result you are shooting for - it's a "project car" but what kind? Show car? Drift/circuit car? Got a power target?
..if u want to build a legendary "devil-z" 2nd gen.
you need to install a L28 (L2800) engine, bored and stroked to 3.1 L and fitted with twin turbos.![]()

what engine is the original engine ?
2.0 L VG20ET V6 or 2.0 L RB20DET I6
Nissan 300ZX - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
if it is RB20DET, save the original engine is always an option to consider, the sentimental value is always there. the "sentimental value" is very strong if you know what i am talking about.
