I've been driving and owned both NA-Vtec (R version) and 4 Wheel turbo cars.
IMO, in real life real turbo car is more fun to drive. Immediate torque..anytime, anywhere! whereas for NA, the engine seems 'struggling' to produce the required torque.
Other than that, NA & turbo car shared the same pro and cons and it's actually really depend on owner luck.
what do u mean owner's luck exactly???:hmmmm::hmmmm::hmmmm:
bencys,
Thanks for the video... love to drive stock car so could maintain the durability.
Been into turbo wannabe... but end up loosing money due to lack of knowledge.
After driving the real made turbo car... can feel the different power...
For myself, I choose NA (small car) for daily drive in town.
Then for long distance (inter town, state or country) love to ride Turbo.
But I unable to choose both coz I only have the turbo...
For me stock NA vs stock turbo will never ending story.
It all depend on personal preference...
At the moment I wish to have small NA due to fuel price spike...
Stock Turbo fuel consumption very high for in town usage (never high ramp & no speeding).
I like turbo coz easily to overtake the car & feel more secure.
Forgot to mentioned that Kelisa is also call as "headache free" car. Can park anywhere u want even though the parking is full, easily cilok-ing via emergency lane (if necessary-emergency case) during heavy traffic time etc and can put 4 unit of 235/45/17 rims with tyre in it!! hehehehehehe
Good secondhand Kelisa tyre (YM 2008 above) will only cost you only RM30-RM50 per unit, depends on luck. New one Yokohama A1 R-Drive will cost u RM110 per pc.
Normal 5k km lubricant service with Idemitsu oil will cost you only RM60.
Gear oil changed with Penzoil for each 20k km will only cost you RM45.
Annual roadtax only RM30!! Insurance ikut nasib. As for me my insurance if only RM450 after 55% NCB!
Brake-pad cost me around RM30 kot (even my scooter lagi mahal)
Those timing belt etc depend on case la..normally cost RM400 all in kot, donno also. Never change yet.
Bottomline - Kelisa is just a "start and go" car. No need to wait for the engine warm-up what-so-ever. Very low maintenance.
Should u really serious to buy one, the reasons why I said u should try to buy the SE model as compared to the earlier model (or normal model ["NM"]) due to the following :
1) The seat positioning a bit cramp..towards the door on the NM. The SE model seat
positioning is much better;
2) The ratio or the ECU set-up is much different. NM would have a top-speed of only
140kmh (floored, tested few times) whereas the SE model topped at 160kmh. But the
low end for SE model is a bit underpowered;
3) Stock suspension for SE model is a bit stiffer compared to NM. U will feel those NM model
floating at 140khm, but not on the SE model; and
4) You will look more handsome on the SE model...hehehehe
I used to owned NM for few months, after that re-buy the SE model. That where my observations came from.
The only obsacle that I noted was the price never came down. i remembered I bought my YM 2004 NM Silver Kelisa auto in 2008 for RM25k and few months later (Feb 2009) buy the 2007 SE model auto at RM30k (friend's friend daughter car).
Surprisingly the price now still at RM30k plus2...

aja,
Thanks for the advice...
Coz a friend of mine (E6) also use Kelisa for his daily ride.
Any Kelisa (Auto) should be no prob base on my assumtion... little mode can be done.
Such as ECU tuning + suspension + lighter rims far more good to me.
As long can run fun drive + hassle free + parking easy + low fuel consumption in congested town. Still figuring out to buy 1 unit of it...
Sorry out of topic![]()
WOW kelisa really sounds like an awesome daily drive car :top:
Point A to Point B no worries![]()

Since this is turning into a 'buy a kelisa' thread, I'm sharing my recent experience scouting for a 2nd hand Kelisa for my sis recently.
I test drove a few and I think it is a nippy, easy to drive car with good pick up. Handling so so only la but it has a very good 2nd hand market value. Imagine a 2004/2005 Kelisa model is priced almost on par with a 2002 Waja.
So forget about turbos and what not, and get a Kelisa.

Im here seeking ur help n guidance on which kind rim&tyre to go with my car.
Thr r to kindz of "ROTA" rims tat has caught my interest, thy r....
