This SuckS : Credit card talks end

the Problem is not at road users......we should look forward....wawasan 2020 la.....

credit card company charging interest to all the participants shops.....if all discontinue accepting credit card...wtf we apply it?

this issue the credit card company hv to settle wit their participant shops la.....not direct discontinue accepting n make ppl who use credit card feel suck....all need cash....

MALAYSIA is not safe....bring so much cash...die earlier....

I believe that CC card owners should bear the costs, since it's them who wanted the luxury of being able to spend at least RM2k on a single shot without carrying a single cent in their wallets. Even cash / debit cards ( I have one, been using 'em since they were first introduced ) nowadays have certain charges that have to be borned solely by the card owner. To be, cash / debit cards is the proper way to spend without having to resort to carrying too much cash around, as you would only be spending the real amount of cash that you actually have. If you want to be able to spend more, simple, just bank in more cash into the cash / debit card's account! You still get the luxury of CC and you won't exceed your budget! Banks worldwide should also start updating the softwares and start allowing the usage of cash / debit card on the Net as well.

I still dun understand , whats wrong that the kioks owner to demand higher commision rather than keep on pushing WE, the hard working citizen to cut off our living comfort, to pay for the CC charges, to get in the ordeal of such? We are not in INDONESIA, where we cant say a thing.

We are in Malaysia , where democracy still being practice and looking into recent transformation of goverment , less gapping in media broadcasting , the KIOSK owner and ALANG has to voice out and tell the GOV or who the heck controlling this problem tht " We arent getting paid enuff"

However, up to mine suprise and every one else too ..... Petrol Kioks owner earns very good income despite of all the nuisance 1 2 cents you all are complaining Like Zoo .. he is very anxios to get a skyline. and I am just very anxios to know whether we will be using CC anymore or not.

I know not one or two .. but dozens of kioks out there is giving free mineral water, tissues and such to attract customer. I think it cleear enuff for all the forumers to understand what is going on actually ..

So, if you don't really know about the current situation, I think it's better to refrain from doing any comments on this matter.

So does the story does tell that the earnings arent that bad as you all had claim. That must be also the reason why the GOV did not approve you guys suggestion

I don't think you know well enuff about the current situation. 1st, not all petrol stations do one of those "free mineral water" etc.. it's either initiated by the company ( whereby the dealers usually have to pay some part of the costs for the promotion ), or initiated by only a group of the said dealers, or the dealer himself ( usually petrol stations with better cash sales are able to do something like this, some opt not to do becauase of the hassle of keeping extra stocks when they have limited storage area etc )

The reason why the govt have yet to allow this is because whenever they have a meet with the companies, these companies will threaten to pull their funding for this and that lah etc...and on and on it goes...

heheh, well said bro! these ppl never tried to "indulge" themselves into the topsy - turvy world of petrol kiosk business. most of my friends ( even until today! ) thinks that petrol kiosk biz is one of the easiest biz in the world. cheh, these guys dunno when :

- the breakaway valves give way when a customer is pumping fuel ( u know just how painful it is to have lots of petrol on your skin? )
- your fuel load is going to be late
- your fuel load is only going to arrive at around 3 am in the morning, when tomorrow is going to be a Monday ( arrgghhh )
- one of your senior staff / cashier is sick for a few days
- the computer supporting the cashier's till suddenly gave up the ghost when there is about 3 - 5 customers waiting in line at the counter
- when your fire extinguishers get stolen duing the 3rd shift ( graveyard shift lehhh.. )
- rude customers who simply throw the money at the cashier's from a distance and simply walk away ( lu ingat wa tau ka mana satu lu punya keleta? mahai.. )
- toilet gets damaged by blockages ( truk itu sependar dlm lobvang jamban...bodo )
- have to sleep over at the station ( i did that for almost 3 years straight, tido only with the lubes boxes underneath you in the storeroom full of lubes, can u? )
- and many more...let's see whether these guys can handle it or not

do you know that REAL petrol station owners actually work 7 days a week, and a minimum of 12 hours a day? can you take that? no leave, when you're down with fever and migrain, you still have to be there? once, i myself have to work with a BROKEN RIGHT COLLARBONE until it healed, which took almost 2 months? and at that time, i had to walk 3kms to the LRT station, take a 30 minutes LRT ride, then a bus trip about 30 mins more just to get there? now let's take all that ( and more ) into account, and with the current fuel costs getting higher, add up with lesser commission. now wouldn't u get angry? think about the petrol station owners who have been so patient ( waiting for almost 2 years not patient enuff? ) what do you say now? it is the petrol station owner's right to live comfortably after all the work he had done. for example, with the upcoming Raya, it'll be the 6th raya I've celebrated while working day and night, just me and another fella, for 7 days straight. are u willing to do something like that?

][zoohalee][vtec][ ada la a bit...introduced to the biz since i was 6, hands on for the 10th year in a row.. heheh..

oohhh... good story there bro... ok fine let us all support the ban of CC... and let the petrol kiosk get all of their deserve money... they work hard for it anyway... malaysia boleh...

so sick of all these stupidity.

why ban? can't they just let the freedom be as it is?

if the owner want their kiosk to accept then let it be and for those who do not want to accept then let it be. how we wanna use our cash/money/d.card is up to us. let the consumer choose which to go and where to go. why force ban of cedit card? damn, i started to hate this place, stop forcing people. let us choose! everybody have their own preference.

i pump 100myr each time i refuel, i spend roughly 1k just for fuel each month. there is too much of hassle for this cash thingy. and not to say an uncomfortable thick wallet behind my ass.

seems like a silly issue to me, hope the current arrangement stands, otherwise we will be like any 3rd world country in the world that does not accept CC in petrol stations, think of foreigners and singaporeans that pull into a petrol station?!?!?

Times are hard. That kind of situation happens to everybody, not just petrol station owners. No need to say RM500k also. There are many people out there who work their butts off so their companies can make millions but end up no bonus or even promotion.

I'm not against paying the charges, but I don't agree that petrol stations should take it out on CC holders. This is a battle between the banks, petrol stations and govt.

I agree with you.At least we still have our job, no matter how sucks it is.There are thousands out there unemployed rite now.

The battle between the banks, petrol station and the Government ->we end user have to suffer.

in that case most of the JB petrol station will lose business then.

Bro
Dont forget that we CC user have to pay ANNUAL FEE for that convinience.even my public bank visa electron's annual fees is rm24 per year and my amex charged me rm140 yearly.

sometimes, figures projected doesnt mean u lost that amount.. itz that u din earn that amount.

like for instance, a projected saving i should have in 30 yrs to come are probably in millions, but that doesnt mean i'll earn that money... perhaps i would die the next day, or judging fr the way i spend daily in current, i would not be able to save tat amount of $$.

but anyhow, your exclamation that u'll buy your mom a new car... that is pretty much justify how much u make, rather than loosing.

but anyhow, i'm don't own a petrolstation, so i dont know the real story behind it. But the way u explain yourself doesn't help much in clearing the doubts. But i do understand that in any business, every gainable cents is a profit.

but if i were u, if given a choice, to choose CC or no CC, i'll go for CC, knowing that it is a cashless society at the moment... ppl spend more with CC, profit is always there, depending on how u see it. U may argue that ppl will still come back to u as ppl still need to pump petrol.. but marketing point of view, that is a wrong way to go.

although itz not going to affect me coz i pump petrol like 10 days once, and each transaction not more than 60 buckz. But i just dont see the logic behind your quest for justice, except pay the bank interest. But then again, again back to business rule, every cent gain is a profit... so not needing to pay bank interest is a big plus side for u.

so i believe your motto would be "To heck wit the conviniece of customer... as long as i make $$$"

a battle between 2 giant's resulting end-users getting a slap in the face. Think bout it....

bro, no hard feeling, u got rejected from a cc application?
This is a modern world, you can't deny the conveniences of c.card. I have a cash card, spore cash card is as flexible as a c.c and it's nationwide acceptance, even thru car park, mini mart and etc.., but i still need c.card. it's the urban way of living and it's worldwide acceptance.

by a time that you are running into somesort of emergency. you will regret that you dont have a c.card in hand.

can't agree more with Prozac, it's should be their war and not ours.
