aftermarket ECU , thts not a big problem ...jus the final drive ..er.......bit difficult lo ...

alarm thing is personal preferrence. if it is indeed reputable one, anything also can.
cobra, clifford etc.

if you have a friend in hong kong (not sure if theirs is 240kmh guage cluster; try inquiring).

one thing you need to be certain is this----->

"All you need to make your car go beyond the 180kph japanese speed restrictor are the instrument cluster block and an ECU from a country which uses similar grade fuel, because of the*mapping software"

is tht mean if i change to tis meter , i need to do sth wif my ECU for speedcut or upgrade ...otherwise my meter will maximum hit 180kmh onli too ? :rolleyes: .....

hong kong can get tis ? erm.....i went to the TRD hk b4 ....i saw MRS meter but i din notice is it 240 or not ... will try to ask my fren later ......hehez....

yes. speed cut will still be there unless you can get the ECU (240kmh) of the country that shares the same fuel grade as in m'sia or get apexi rsm (at most 200++) or a standalone ; HKS , PFC, motec etc. So unless you do, having installing a 240kmh guage cluster is only for bling.

WARNING: there are cases (in US) where a stock ECU from a 1ZZFE MRS dont seemed to work/compatible with another 1ZZFE MRS engine.

i dont know how widespread this is but it was reported before.

else a half cut + labour to transplant (you know the works)

what do i need next?
clutch paddle?
gear shifter?, gear cables?
clutch pump and reservoir?

where is the clutch pump located in the mrs? the same with mr2?

not trading in the car for manual!
tot about using my car instead of half cut for track and autocross use.
beside not a hassle plus can go on twisties
