You are assuming that is why the removed the hidden door handles when it could just be because the design is...like that. No particular motive or reason. But I do agree that they've gone a bit conventional, more German I should say. But it figures I guess, because during the development of the 159, the boss was a German, IIRC.Ingolstadt said:The problem with 159 is not the looks, but rather it lost the italian's single mindedness approach of their styling, it's more compromised, more mainstream. I particularly hate how they omit the hidden rear door handles to make it look more like conventional executive sedans.

Ah...but because cars are still sold to the masses, if you make things too unconventional, a lot of people won't like it. For Alfas continued survival, they needed to sell more cars and unfortunately, that means making more user friendly cars. Lets just be happy Alfas still look gorgeous.Ingolstadt said:Alfa should have gone berserk with 159, they should have make it the first sedan in the world without door handles, fuel cap hidden inside the boot or something... as door handles are like side mirrors, they served purposes, not there to perform nor enhance the aesthetics.....
errr, is it something like PROTON?Ingolstadt said:dats the problem...... anyway.. still love Alfas.... by the way, anyone knew what Alfa stands for?
Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili .... which apparently, knowing its meaning will give you a big turn off - Lombard Automobile Factory, Public Company.
