car seat washing

Wonder why they don't add the dressing in the package. Like that if customer does not DIY like you, the leather seats will be bare and deteriorate faster.....

I think because this is subjective. Some people prefer it and some don't. If they use a cheap dressing and especially if they overapply, the seats will be a real pain to sit in. It will be oily and can stain clothing. Thus some places only dress the dashboard and door board.

Unless there are people who uses real good quality dressing and knows how to apply it skillfully.

But if they are going to clean the leather they need to dress it back, if not, then don't clean.
You don't expect most customers to DIY the leather dressing, after the shop have cleaned. If they do, they might as well have DIY the cleaning too.....ha! ha!:driver:

Yes ive seen DIY enthusiast take out the car seats to do interior cleaning, dressing etc.

But regret to say Im the lazy type....

Prefer to let the people do the cleaning...

While dressing with cream is easy....

Just sapu on it!

Like sapu cat! Not the type of sapuing on bed of course! That requires skills & know how and specific spots too!:wavey:

I prefer DIY cleaning my leather upholstery but I don't know how and what to use.

Yes, dressing is easier, but most who send for washing expect the dressing to be done also.....:driver:

Some detergents are available in market which are specially malfunction for car seat cleaning.

Anyway I can recommend you varnish massage smoothly or you can wash the seat cover separately. I often use this way when I want to clean up mine vehicle seat.

I would suggest you to simply just steam clean the seats and make sure to dry them properly so that your leather if there is might really not get effected after the steam clean and if not then simply just clean them nicely with just a brush ................

For cleaning the car seats cover you should have the manual book. If you don't have then you should buy another.
Usually, car seat cover should only be spot cleaned or hand washed in light detergent. Powerful detergents and washing machines can remove the flame retardent-ness of the covers which is important in a crash. Same goes for the harness straps - never put them in a washing machine. The dryer isn't a wise decision either, as it can get shrink the covers and make it not fit right any longer. But to know how you are expected to care for the cover (as well as use the seat properly in the future!) you really need that manual.
