yes its tru that engine check light will turn on & it always to my car... the performance increase more than 30% estimate... have more than 140hp...
the thing is i wanna upgrade my engine managment sys... so that the can support more fuel at end of rpm (6.8k rpm) found that at 6k rpm not as fast as from 4K rpm to 6k rpm...
as th prof has said, ur ecu is in 'limp home' mode. i wouldnt be surprise to see ur raditor fan running continously too.
140hp? how u know? did u dyno b4? if by removing things get higher hp most manufacturer will 'water down' their stock cars! save money and get better spec jo!
w/o air flow sensor how u wanna tune? all standalone need to use airflow or map for fine tuning. read FINE tuning. u r now running on a limp home map. which is slightly detuned. Pls get a working airflow and see ur hp and fc improve. even a 4g92/93 stock maf doesnt pose any significant restriction till 180hp. past that there is a very very slight improvement running a map setup (like 1hp or 2hp difference only).
6.8krpm not enuff fuel? u sure? have u plugged in an o2 to check lambda? w/o the airflow and ecu in limp home, i suspect ur tuning TOO MUCH FUEL bro heheh.
4-6krpm faster that 6-6.8krpm. dats normal unless u change to high (>272) cam.
putting emanage will not remove rpm cut. u planning to build a high rev engine? balance the block and flywheel first. 10-11krpm will send most conrods, cranks and flywheel straight out the block. hopefully the flywheel doesnt slice u in half, starting from between ur legs (remember where ur gearbox?).
just a side comment. last time i dynoed a kelisa and a ck lancer w/o the intake pipe, it made less hp than b4.
Jibong,
i've already replied to jibong in another thread of his. its not like emanage wouldnt work. it will. u will get high hp. u will be fast. just that transition for fuelling not so smooth during mivec activation, also during part throttle boosting. this is just my gut feeling after installed emanage in my 4g13 turbo. i havent done a mivec turbo b4, so i really cant say for sure. . my suggestion is to dyno rechip since ur ecu can do that. then fine tune using safc or emanage. this would be better. make sure u get a map sensor for the emanage, or tuning will be a biatch....
