Hi to all MAC members, i just got my airtrek last month and have some mod works done lately, notice this car doesn't come with oil cooler?

Between, what is the usual oil temp reading for normal cruising? (for those who has changed td05).

Thanks!

I don't have an oil temp meter, so I don't know. Treks come with oil cooler. The ATF is cooled too and is channeled through radiator to cool.

That's weird, my friend who helped me did all the change told me there's no oil cooler.

I only have the gauge installed when doing all the mod so can't really tell what is the oil temp reading when the car still on stock turbo, and currently the oil temp is working between 95c - 102c (usual cruising) which seems high to me as compared to my cn9a which is usually running around 85c.

Here is the photo of my car.

The one hidden on the bumper which you showed in the picture is Oil Cooler. ATF Oil Cooler is built into the bottom portion of the radiator. Peek down the very bottom of the radiator and you see 2 outlets there. One in and one out for ATF cooling.

I heard the original cooler going into radiator not that good as radiator also hot. Many fit external cooler like the oil cooler....:driver:

Thanks for the info! Mean i should either upgrade the oil cooler or cut a hole at front to channel the airflow in.

Also, the dyno chart somehow i think is showing an incorrect torque numbers?

That is in Kg, not nm......:smokin:

I have thought of adding the external cooler but seems there is no place to put since the fmic has taken up most of the places at front

but 60kgs torque from TD05, i think is not so accurate? could it because of the auto transmission torque converter which is not able to read the proper torque?

Oh yah! 60kg is like 594 nm......

Wow 594Nm of torque? That is a lot. Feels more like 2.4L stroker kit power! Mine only 380Nm on wheel.

Well, torque can be a lot more than Bhp and it exists on engines from bus and trucks, hehehehe.. just joking.

Yeah, for a 4G63T, that really doesn't match well.

by the way, is the dyno chart a real dyno one or just the simulation program?

is live dyno tuned, i was there with the tuner
the drive is much more lighter after tuned as compared to td04 and td05 (b4 tuned)

I see... well, I don't think the torque is correct based on your hp. Maybe the dynometer needs callabration... I don't know, just guessing.

in what gear they run the dyno? lock OD off or use manual shifter option? (not sure how trek auto trans setup the gearing combination)

if they did run on wrong gear surely torque was massive...but didnt match really....or it just simply because camshaft differences between evo and trek

Is on manual shift on 2nd gear all the times, the final gear ratio for this car is too tall, 3rd gear easily hit 180kph.

anyway, let not too concern about the inaccurate torque numbers here. my friend recheck the cooler on the passenger side, the hose is connected to transmission, means tis car really comes w oil cooler?
