Review: Q8 Oils

semi for 5k km oil change....full syn for 10k km oil change...

i not sure bout u..my car use semi syn only now..maybe wil use ful syn next oil change.

hey guys...y don u guys try motul semi syn oil...?mayb is abit more pricie..but deff ull get better respond...motul hv 4100 turbolight 10W40 n 4100 power 15W50...depand on ur engine modd n design..if u guys r really interested in trying it...can giv me a call..i can guide u to the workshop in PJ...0163850992 thx..

Tried Motul before. I dont think its better than Q8 coz its didnt solve my tappet noise.

I will stick to Q8 and spend less.

Viscosity was correct. It is just that Motul is too expensive. If it can outperform Q8, I dont mind switching to Motul and pay that extra bucks.

I drive a Wira with 4G93P. I tried Motul full sync. It solved my tappet noise for a week and it came back after that espeacially in the morning. With Q8 full sync, tappet noise was gone throughout the whole 5000km.

I am not saying Motul is bad. It is just that it didnt solve what I wanted. I noticed Q8 viscosity is very consistance right up to 5000km eventhough I trash my car in every possible Autocross whereby I thrash my car as if I stole it. I have tried several oil and I would dare to say that Q8 is one of the best I have tried. Smoothness wise, Motul and Q8 are about the same. I would love to sample Redline next. But so far, Q8 is very ok for the price.

You should try other oil too and not just Motul.

It isn't a secret that Motul is one of the best lubricant around this world, but like Julian mentioned, it doesn't solve the tappet noise completely. He'd been using the full sync Q8 since his 4g92p days which is also his unbeatable car in the autocross world.

Q8 vs Motul, in terms of pricing Q8 wins. In terms of quality, I don't know but according to the autocrossers, Q8 is the lubricant that most of us use. I've recently changed to Q8 from Shell Helix Plus, hence I can't comment much as I've not used Motul b4. But so far, I'm more than happy with my lubricant.

as i know..tappet sound cant be eliminate at the 1st oil change most of the time...u need 2nd or 3rd oil change to see d results...

Eneous im sure abit more expensive then elsewhere right ..?

not exactly, Eneos is selling the same price as us, semi synthetic advance is RM89. In PJ, you can always try YS Khong motorsport in mayang near the old lim kok wing
