if new car selling so x-pensive so old car price is x-pensive. is depending on the market value in bolehland. so who fault is this???? sales man, buyer, saler or G fault? think's about it.

Used ori R34 Vspec II still above RM200k. I cannot afford so what I did was to get a cheaper car. What so difficult? Those who should complain about the car price are Singaporean. Car expensive and has law mechanism to force them scrap the car.

I think it is ok for our country as long as not forcing people to scrap their car within certain year of usage.

it not car price. it willing buyer willing seller

my car i bought that time 55k only
now got people offer 90k for it and i ask him go to eat shit with the offer price

it not the car value.. it my effort to do up the car and the $$ i spend on it
and i not intend to sell it at the moment

some people buy drive and sell it
they can afford to lose the depreciation $

but some not willing to lost it
some want to change car but not willing to lost the depreciation $$
those asking higher price for the car
end up they cannot wait anymore longer..
so decide to give up to sell and keep the car
or sell it cheaper

RX7, mini cooper classic, and some cars no more in production. The new car price drop won't effect much. But if you say RM5k is a lot, then most probably you can ask for the discount now without waiting for the miracle to appear

Remember in 80's, mini cooper. Beetle only sell at RM2k range. How much is the price raise at earlier of 90's after the trend of having such car? This is what we call market demand. If some day, when a R34 value drop to RM100k, when you wanna buy, people counter your price and get the car, what you wanna say? People is stupid? Or the car is expensive? The stupid 70's (maybe 80's) skyline GTR with 2.0L engine cost UK pound $56k is ridiculous? In the lovers' eyes, they don't call it a used car, they call it a specimen. It records not only memory, but also other things that money cannot buy. But I think 1993 wira sell at RM7k or a Citroen ZX at RM9k in our market is not expensive at all

i do own singapore car & i not complaning about anything about car price.in fact their car price is cheaper there. just buy the car that u can afford the most.

Sg car is tent cheaper compared with malaysia car if you buy brand new car
and dont convert the currencies value

if you work at Mal. you might earn RM5k
but same job at SG also might earn you 5k SG

a Rm5k here might only entitle you for Civic 2.0 only
while 5k SG i think you can afford a Brand new Evo or Subaru if i not mistaken

Wah...assuming a 2.0 Civic is 130k with interest rate at 3.5% and 84 months (7 years) of installments....that makes up to be abour 1.8k of installment per month.

5k minus EPF contribution and tax would be 4k plus something. Minus 1.8k per month and u are left with 2.2k plus per month to eat, pump petrol and wat not.....not quite enought right?

friend..
my mod cost ?
my effort cost ?

you think i can simply let go my car for lost ?
no such thing
and i not desperate to sell
but he desperate to buy..

so ? there you can hold the price

Must convert la  Cuz the rice cost import from Thailand also converted what. If don't convert, our rice price will be 10 times more expensive (maybe more due to storage cost and other factor). Your income also need to convert, because if don't convert, the spirit of climbing higher will be lesser

Our fuel is cheaper and no COE + no laws saying that you must pay certain amount to continue to own the same car after certain period even though pass the emission test. Long term wise, our car no doubt is still cheaper. A lot cheaper. Car park and other hidden cost not count yet because some people will argue for keep a nice car and not driving it :thefinger::stupid:

Someone said wanna sell Vspec ar? Wait I come back 1st to view the green/black rx7 (if not sold yet). After that may contact you

ok no problem i will wait ... since now economy down slope no one will use so much money to buy a Godzilla ... haha ...

Hmm interesting debate. I figure the reason why prices vary are mostly due to the fact that we don't use a blue book to ascertain fair prices for 2ndhand cars - think Kelly Blue Book.

Another fact is that because some models of cars are considered to be "hot", prices rarely drop as there will always be someone interested in buying it for whatever price. Some of these "hot" cars also happen to be rare cars due to gray imports and lack of factory production support in this region, not to mention the import taxes. Cars like this: AE86, S15, S13, EK9s etc etc.

For example i remember seeing a bunch of S15s for sale for only 120k and under in 2005. The prices even though the car has been discontinued since 2001 can now be found for 130k++ unreg.

A stock standard Rx7 going for 70k? Doesn't sound like much if everything has been kept in good condition and the engine has already been rebuilt, otherwise i wouldn't pay that amount. Either way i'm using that as an analogy for the condition of the car. Oh and if its a '93 screw that!

In most cases if you have a sweet car that everyone wants its definitely a seller's market. Conversely if you have a stock standard Wira 1.3 from 1993, may God smile on you. :)

problem with ppl is that nobody wants to RUGI (including myself).

so, i dont see any problems if sellers were to sell at a higher price.

selling online is different from selling outside, sure...outside is cheaper but inside (or online) is higher maa...

just like how u compare a GUCCI original and a GUCCI fake laa..

u have to face this kinda things when u buy online, its very normal already BUT sellers selling online have to wait much longer to sell their stuffs and whereas those selling at retail can sell much faster (like walk in customers n etc).

so basically, i would prefer to sell online or in forums.. it has better value, my car last time was sold in zth, if i sell to used car dealer they only makan 7k but i sold it of for 15k in zth.
