Any differences between those HKS branded gc and any other copper wire out there? We can always custom made anything.
And any noticeable improvement after install gc? I've installed a VS in my alza but so far no changes made

mind to disclose which seller? I've bought a DIY VS from one of the seller in lyn too!

If can get a good set of copper cable can DIY the GC yourself. Maybe even better.....![]()
) at mudah for RM10 only. Since the shop is nearby, I went to it and bought a set. Basically the cables consist of normal copper wires inside, but thicker than OEM. One plus point is that all the cables are quite long, with an average of maybe around 60cm - 65cm.

RM10? that is really dirt cheap woh!

Yup, for RM10 I would have tried them too. I can't even buy the cable to do it myself for RM10.Yesssss!! I see some places selling the exact same thing for RM30-80!!!!
So if the cables are not good enough? Buy two or three sets and install them in your car
But dat accessory shop dude tried to scam me into buying this imitation pivot grounding cable. When I got into the shop, I asked for grounding cable. He showed me 3 types. The purple hks, pivot 7 core (something like that), and a zapalang brand. I asked the price for HKS, he replied RM10. Ok...honest...then I took the pivot in my hand and read what's written behind. As far as I know, pivot doesn't sell grounding cable like this one. It's black colour cable in a yellow box. Pivot cable is blue, the black one being the pivot ignition earth - one cable only. Well I might be wrong here, so please let me know.
Then I asked that dude what is the difference between the hks and pivot. He said its because of quality and he then take out the cables from the box and showed me. Ok the pivot one is better. The connectors, the cable, etc. Then I asked what is the price. He said RM150!!!! Wtf lol I can get dat same thing elsewhere for less than RM50! I asked why so expensive and he said that this is original cable from pivot. So I took the RM10 super duper cheap and economical hks Groundng.
Man for RM150, I can buy 15 sets already lol...I don't think the pivot cable efficiency is better than 15 sets of hks cables haha

I've read in a forum (forgot which forum) long time ago, somebody said to ground ENGINE BLOCK as well coz it's contain most moveable part and create more noise. Not sure it's correct or not
over-grounding isn't a good thing btw.
You might end up causing a circuit loop and that'll short circuit something. Just focus on the key grounding points which are in my opinion :
1. starter
2. alternator
3. compressors (all of em)
4. distributor
5. firewall
6. battery negative terminal.
Ok the last 2 aren't really grounding points but to help close the loop.

Well the one mounted on alternator body, I connected it to the firewall, touching another cable which goes back to the battery terminal. Cable not long enough![]()

ohh ya one more thing, I've actually asked a shop owner of car accessories shop and he told me that grounding cable doesn't really give any difference, at least for his perdana v6. He'd advise me not to install thing kind of fancy stuff.
