no ah. I bought my COMPLETE set from other people and ask CV to install only. They oso happy happy buat everything for me.. simple, clean and nice. I am happy. But as I upgrade I find others offer competitive prices too. So mah like that lor.

i bought some stinger rca for my amp n ii bring along my own monster cable for testing my ice, they help me test by tuning n installation sometime for free too maybe u r new,if u r long term customer i think they will treat u well, most of my tme over there is testing n tuning ice.

LTM is famous for their setups also.. and oldskolboyz is right, as long as you're happy. :D

but personally I prefer to be happy and less money at the same time.. haha.. :P Usually it helps if you get an ICER friend to intro you to their shop. Like Tohsan can intro you to CV and perhaps get Tohsan's special treatment, or Louis to intro you to Megasound and get HIS special treatment, etc. :D

Wow! I didn't know he got so many good reviews! I just dropped by there tonite (5-Dec) at 8:45pm to check out the BIG BIG signboard Alpine.

I tested him with body kits. Not competitive. I tested him with Alpine 9833 model. Price quoted 150 more than KK Lau. I told him so. So Peter just went on non-stop at 200km/h like promoting his services that is value added. He did say similar things that some forumers said. He even told me that he got 30 over workers in the 8 branches and some of them earn like 3-4k salary cuz of experience like that.

I mentioned few competitors like KK Lau, KF Audio, Tehnichi. He blastered KK Lau like hell. He praised KF Audio but mentioned installation workmanship at KF. Tehnichi is very up-scale so he didn't say much. He prided on his value-added service to differentiate KK Lau & KF Audio. He advised to hang around and watch the installation workmanship to compare with others.

Now I can ask these different guys for quotes but damn thing is they always ask what is your budget and they work around it. KF Audio Mr. Liew did that to me and so did Tehnichi. KK Lau I went to him to take out my old setup in my previous car on a Sunday morning. Hey, those who open on Sunday early catches the worm.

guys, I've heard good reputation of CV audio. This morning, i paid a visit to CV Audio(at kuchai lama). Guess what, it was a disappointment. I went there, nobody entertainment me. So, i approached them. Asking how much is a Alpine Type-S SPS171A? And they just replied me RM800. What man. If i din do research, i kena sotong man. ( I went to another alpine shop, they sell it around RM680).

Summary of the shop.

Price: Skyrocket high
Will go there again: Definately NO!
Friendliness: Not being entertained

You try to drive a Benz to go there and see again, sure the people there like a dog shaking their tail to entertain you, even you change a bulb also they don't mind.
Normally this is what a so-call good shop's people do, drive a normal car they will not see you. If you are waiting to do your normal car, when a high class car come in they will ask you to drive out first to let that car come in. High reputation shop is for high class people, not for normal people to go.
Anyway if they don't sell the their product skyhigh they eat with what? Eat wind?
Maybe they charge you rm120 extra for installation or professional fees(high end shop), you should ask them. But I will not buy this, what for we help them to clear old stock with new price? But if include installation at door for rm120 is cheap, maybe they drill the hole and put direct. Who knows?

.. to be fair, the cv audio at uptown can't be all that bad.. the one in kuchai lama probably screwed themselves up
anyway, its the general service mindset here in Malaysia, not just cv.. others may be the same, depending on their mood, sometimes they give good service sometimes not :X-:

Well, out of 100 of the so-call high end shop 99.5 of them their attitude is like that. They know that have alot of medals won, so they think that they are god. Not like us, we are only a servant compare to them, that's why they always show their face to us to see.
Anyway are they really so good on ICE? I can say they only know how to install new ICE, not old ones or installed by other people. Mine is like this, ask them to rewire my ICE(put 4 channel amp from front to behind), all the wires lay together. When I ask him got problem one or not, he say no problem. So for the first day no airplane sound and I'm very happy with it, think of got a good shop already. After 1 week, they invite me to KLIA. Go back and ask them, they say is my HU problem and cannot be help. Well, this is the so-called high end shop. Who is the best man in their shop? Only the boss is the best, the rest can say still newbie like us.
