but quite expensive service in penang M-Power...maybe do in other place

Saw a lot of good review on Q8 Advance 10w40 semi-synth oil ... really want to give it a try ... current using other brand 10w30 semi-synth oil ... or i should stick to 10w30 grade.

Just change the Oils today & it's my 2nd round using Q8.
Q8 Formula Advanced 10w-40 / Semi Syn (Every 5k)
Q8 Auto 15 ATF Dexron III (for auto transmission) (Every 10k)
LubeGard Platinum (for auto transmission) (Every 10k)

I can see improvement on acceleration, less fuel consumption, engine feels lighter & less noise.

10w30 is mineral oil arr ... then i should use 5w30 and 10w40 semi-synth ... ? is it not misstake the Q8 T630 5w-30 / Semi Syn is RM99

hey guys, i've just recently changed to Q8 oil, using the 10W40 Formula Advanced Semi Syn, here's my brief review....

well, i feel its much smoother especially in the higher rpms compared to the previous semi syn i used (AC Delco). however, during cold starts (esp mornings), my engine starts with a bit of friction noise with the oil sign on for about 1-2 secs after engine starts. must rev then go away.

what i suspect is that if left til cold, most of the engine oil will drip back to the oil sump and not much left on the pistons, and hence, got friction sound and need time for the oil to travel up again when started. with AC Delco semi syn, this prob was not as significant.

i think another solution to this would be utilizing tech like Castrol Magnatec that allows oil to stick to pistons even when cold.

just my 2cents.

mr. the, has the price for Q8 oils gone up again. why is the price listed by you and nismofun different? 4 litres of F1 for RM189? that is RM9 difference.

even Eneos asof last week, Saturday to be exact i got the F1 from them was only RM180. i also bought the mineral at RM58 for 4 litres.

shops in SUnway also selling for RM180 and Excel for Rm155.

i wonder what the distributor is up to now.

The price has been like this for quite some time which is provided by the distributor himself. Hence any changes depends on the seller him/herself.

However, I can be very flexible too. If you get what I mean. I can lower down my profit by getting more customers. But, just to make things clear, this is the market price given by the distributor themselves.
